


We cannot hold on to the old views. Let us question everything, discover miracles both great and small. God gave us bright minds, dexterous hands and hunger for knowledge. From my point of view, idleness and ignorance are the gravest sins known to man.
One would tend to agree with that... if only it wasn't Elias Perceval who said those words.
Perceval is what some might call a “scientist”. All his experiments were, however, of very dubious nature. There are no records of him ever inventing anything or helping anyone. Instead, during his last "experiment" he lost his right eye, one of his assistants died and the other one was very badly burned.
I'm sending him to the Island. I'm sure that count de Bellemare will be quite interested in examining the mind of this "fellow scientist".
